|I’m going to climb K2. It’s the second highest mountain on the globe. For every four people that have summited historically, 1 has died. However, mountain climbing is my passion but ending Alzheimer’s is my purpose. That is why I am climbing the world’s hardest mountain to fight one of the world’s deadliest diseases.People ask me, “Alan, you’re climbing this mountain, why should I care about it?
”Alzheimer’s is a disease which impacts everybody. It doesn’t matter what race, gender, country, how much money you make, where you live, what you do; it’s a human disease.I want to summit this mountain but I want to do it for those victims, families and caregivers devastated by Alzheimer’s. Besides following my progress up, I want you to be part of my team while I’m climbing K2. You can become part of the team by becoming a fundraiser, a team captain or making a donation and spread awareness around Alzheimer’s by donating to either Cure Alzheimer’s Fund or UsAgainstAlzheimer’s (see below).
At the end of the day it is about the cause not about the climb. I am climbing for hope. This is what it’s really all about. Climbing for change.Climb on, be a hero, and join the fight.
You can sign up as a fund raiser (and set your own goals), become a team captain and lead a team of fundraisers,
or just make a simple donation now. Select the organization you would like to support on my climb.
