She struggled for over 8 years and was under hospice care at the end. We celebrated her life with friends and family this past weekend.<br \/>\nWhile it was expected,   hospital  it is both a time of deep sadness for us and relief for her. She had lost her identity and independence towards the end.<br \/>\nOver 5 million people have it today and it can hit anyone at any age &#8211; it is not just a disease of the elderly.
