In this sprawling interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markpattisonnfl.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Pattison<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jim_L._Mora\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Moro<\/a>, we cover Mark&#8217;s upcoming climb of Everest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mark spent five years as an NFL player at the wide receiver position with the then, Los Angeles Raiders, LA Rams, and New Orleans Saints before becoming a very successful business person after football. Growing up in the Pacifica Northwest, he was surrounded by mountaineering legends like Whitaker and Viesturs so as he pondered a big, ambitious project, he focused on the Seven Summits. Now, with six of the seven completed, he will attempt Everest then Lhotse with <a href=\"https:\/\/madisonmountaineering.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madison Mountaineering<\/a> this spring.\u00a0Mark has a very successful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markpattisonnfl.com\/finding-your-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Podcast<\/a> and raises money for many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markpattisonnfl.com\/philanthropy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charities<\/a> including <a href=\"https:\/\/highergroundusa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Higher Ground<\/a> on behalf of his daughter, Emilia, who has epilepsy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_38578\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38578\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-38578\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alanarnette.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-1-225x169.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"169\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-38578\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jim Mora<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jim Mora and Mark met in High School and have been close friends ever since. Jim is currently a college football analyst for Sports Illustrated and Fox Sports. For 25 years, he was a coach in the college ranks, including at UCLA, plus the NFL including stints as the Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks.
