The historical weather pattern on Everest has been a calm April, a rough beginning of May before calming again starting around May 15 for about two weeks. The case of the missing Jet Stream!<\/p>\n Austrian operator Lukas Furtenbach of Furtbach Adventure contacted me with this update:<\/p>\n hi alan,\u00a0just a short update. our classic team finished the last rotation to c3.\u00a0our 16 persons everest & lhotse flash and signature team summited mera peak yesterday, only 6 days after leaving kathmandu and with spending a couple of nights above 6000m. everyone was doing great. we were all well acclimated with hypoxic tents and did our first 2 simulated rotations at home. mera was our final rotation. we then flew directly to basecamp from the foot of mera peak yesterday, after descending from high canp in the morning. now we are enjoying our everest basecamp and wait for a summit window. so we have only once to climb through the icefall.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Sherpa rope fixing team is probably already at the South Col and will begin fixing the rope to the summit now.
