OK, it’s about time to stick in the fork and see if it’s done! We still have climbers on Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and \u00a0Nuptse, but they are pretty lonely as most teams are back in Kathmandu or even sleeping in their own beds tonight. All these folks need to get up and out as I’m getting nervous that this weather window will slam shut.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Madison Mountaineering\u00a0<\/span><\/a>has moved his team to the South Col and is settling in for the night and all day tomorrow, planning to leave for the summit around 9:00 pm and summit Friday, May 20. There may be a couple of other teams, but I’m told the mountain is pretty quiet now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

And we are still waiting for\u00a0<\/span>David G\u00f6ttler<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to make his no O’s unsupported attempt. Another climber I pointed<\/a> out at the beginning of the season is Irish\u00a0James McManus, also going without Os. He’s with Tsering Sherpa.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

As I already noted, over on Makalu are \u00a0<\/span>Carla Perez<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and guide\u00a0<\/span>Jon Gupta<\/span><\/a> with a client. They are also\u00a0hoping to get the summit on the 20th. And we think\u00a0<\/span>Tim Mosedale<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and Dawa Tenzing Sherpa are still driving towards the tippy top of Nuptse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n
