The Lhotse face from the Western Cwm
The Lhotse Face is the steepest part of the climb.
The next big part of trying to stand on the top of the world's highest mountain is to climb up a very, very steep ice wall called the Lhotse Face. It is covered in thick ice and snow. It never melts, even in the bright sunshine because it soooo coooold!!
