A muddy street in Lukla, Nepal.
|There are many villages on the way to Everest. Very few have telephones or electricity. There is no TV. Houses are made of stone and wood. The stone for the walls are cut from bigger rocks and carried for miles to the village. The roofs are made of tin. It is very noisy when it rains. The villages are always busy with people and yaks.|
