Alan's tent at Everest basecamp, altitude 17,500 feet. |
Here I am standing by my orange tent at Base Camp. With the bright sun and white snow on the ground, I always wore my sunglasses and warm coat filled with goose feathers. The ground is very rocky at Base Camp because the ice moves the rocks down the hill. The big yellow tent up the hill was where we ate all our meals. |
