I traveled to Greenland in the Summer of
1997 for a two week visit to the largest ice cap on the planet.
We flew Scandinavian Air System (SAS) from Copenhagen to Kulusuk and
on to Ilulissat. We spent most of the time at a great small hotel overlooking
Disco Bay (yes, that is the real name!). We went on a midnight
boat ride in the Bay maneuvering around huge icebergs. Dog sledding, "enjoying" a
whale blubber lunch and a helicopter ride to the ice cap was
also on the agenda. We had a fantastic time and have many wonderful
memories. Please click here for some pictures.
