Saturday Market in Namchie

Ama Dablam is considered one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. It is about 30 miles south of Everest and stands at 22,349 feet or 6,812 meters.

It is considered a technical climb and more difficult in that respect than Everest.

Base Camp in a grassy meadow near a glacier stream. The camps are stunning as well. C1 is on a rocky slab, C2 on a bedroom size space on top of the Yellow tower and C3 in a dangerous area underneath the 'Dablam' - this area avlanched in 2006 killing 6 climbers.

I summited Ama Dablam in 2000 and these pictures are from that climb.
