Hello,
In 2008 I returned to Mt. Everest as part of my Memories are Everything®: The Road Back to Mt. Everest - a year long effort to summit Everest and raise $100,000 for Alzheimer's research. Three schools joined me in this journey.
The students followed my climb, Icalled into their classrooms a few times and had some Q&A via email. They learned about the culture, geography and climbing.
The students did fund raising via events for Alzheimer's research.
The donations went directly to Cure
Alzheimer's Fund with 100% of the funds going to research - none
to me, my climbing expenses or the CAF's overhead.
They raised almost $10,000!!!
It was a great adventure for all of us and I am extremely appreciative of their support and fund raising. My sincere personal thanks to:
