This uncertainty reminds me of one of the key characteristics that caregivers must tap in to: PATIENCE! As you encounter all of these challenges on your 7 summits journey, so do alzheimer’s caregiver’s every minute of every day. Also, who can really say what goes on in our loved one’s. Do they feel trapped in a nightmare, are they afraid, is there something they want to say or do? These questions haunt me in the sense that I couldn’t do more to assure my mother. There is no guilt, I know I did all I could to meet her physical needs and provide her with the best care & living situation possible but these questions keep coming back. Anyway, enough rambling, looking forward to following your journey!
