If I understood your transmission, climbing Everest is canceled this year. Honestly, it boggled my mind that anyone would consider climbing, after the earthquake and avalances! In the face of all of that devastation, death, and injuries, to continue to climb sounded rather self-absorbed. Of course, I have never attempted Everest, never paid the fees, never “followed the dream.” But what I heard in your transmissions is that it’s the loss of life, the injuries, the lack of food and shelter, and the putting things back together, that ought to be the focus. And that sounds right.
I’m so happy that you are safe.
