With our Virtual Everest 2020 – Support the Climbing Sherpas having a rest day in base camp, I thought it was time to come back to the real world and see what the climbing community is experiencing and what to expect for the rest of 2020.

The fictional team returned from Camp 3 at 23,600-feet on the Lhotse Face and are now at base camp. The big news was a Japanese team of 20 summited overnight. Now weather watch begins for our climbers.
The fictional team returned from Camp 3 at 23,600-feet on the Lhotse Face and decided to go all the way to base camp due to impending weather. Climbing through the Icefall in late morning is never a good idea and She found out why.
The team experienced an extremely difficult night at Camp 3 at 26,300-feet on the Lhotse Face. The wind and snow pummeled them throughout the night forcing difficult decisions for our fictional climbers.
The team climbed the Lhotse Face to Camp3 at 23,600-feet. Split into three groups, some were fast, others not so much. And the views were stunning..
With better weather, our Virtual Everest 2020 fictional team returned to Camp 2 for their rotation to overnight at C3, and get their ticket to the top. But some members are having doubts.
The good weather couldn’t last forever and it came with a vengeance today keeping everyone trapped. Dutch took a video tour of Everest Base Camp before the storm.
